Victory, Our Portion in Jesus

As Christians, we are called to live a life of victory. Victory does not necessarily mean a life filled with material wealth, although God does give wealth to His people. A life of victory demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit. When we live a life of victory, we know that we did the will of our Heavenly Father daily, and He is pleased.

On our own, we cannot live a life of victory. A life of victory is only found in Jesus. We cannot be fully obedient and live out the life that God planned for us. But thank God for Jesus, who came and made a way:

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Colossians 2:13-15, NIV

Everything that stood between us and victory, Jesus took away on the cross. We now have full victory in Jesus. We can rest assured that everywhere God sends us, we will be successful. We will see God’s mighty hand move on our behalf because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice.

Thank God for Jesus! We are so grateful Jesus, that you came to save us. Be glorified now and always.

Prayer: Father, today we have come to say thank you. Thank you for the victory we have in Jesus. Thank you for redemption and restoration. We are grateful for all you continue to do for us. Be glorified always. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
