Progressive Revelation: The More We Grow, the More We Know

Have you ever wondered why God saves us and then keeps us on earth? It is because we have unfinished earthly business. There is work for us to do on earth after salvation.

God prepares us for this great work progressively. God grows us into maturity step by step. We learn who God is from His Word, the Bible, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We then start to become more like Jesus internally and develop an understanding of who we are.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:12, NIV

As we grow and know who we are, we start to know what we are meant to do with our remaining time on earth. We grow internally and become a functioning part of The Body of Christ externally. We shine the glory of Christ in our world.

May we keep growing and shining Jesus’ light daily.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord for daily growing us as we stay in you. Thank you for showing us who we truly are. Thank you for equipping us for the work that lies ahead. Be exalted in our lives daily, Jesus. Amen!
